Recently, I received a package in the mail. It was filled with products from Anthony Body Essentials. This line is from the same folks who bring us Anthony Logistics For Men. I quickly set up everything on the table. “Pick what you’d like to try,” I told my husband. “Except this one. This one. Oh, and this one.” O.K., so maybe he didn’t get everything he had his eye on, but what did he expect? That’s what you get when you live with a beauty junkie!

Anthony’s products may say “Men” on the label, but practically all of them work just as well on our side of the sink. Case in point. Anthony’s Energy Shave Cream, from the Body Essentials Line. Forget those metal cans of shaving cream. You know…the ones that sit in your shower, covered in foamy residue. This product comes to you straight in a squeezable tube. No mess. No problem. I put a quarter-sized dollop in my hands, then slathered it on my legs. Immediately, I loved the fact that it stayed put on my skin. It didn’t slide off as I started to shave. The razor just seemed to glide more smoothly. I felt as though I got a closer shave. And after I stepped out of the shower, it was almost as if I didn’t need to use lotion. (The cream’s vitamins and aloe really worked their magic!) My legs were that smooth. Plus, this shaving cream’s “cardamom zest” scent is understated and refreshing. It isn’t too strong and won’t leave you smelling “manly.”

Next up, Spirit Shower Gel, also from the Essentials Line. This has a “green spice” smell that I would call fresh and “woodsy.” One drop on a shower pouf and I was good to go. This gel easily worked into a rich, thick lather. After I showered, my skin felt squeaky clean and moisturized. And get this. The first time I used this product, I was traveling to Atlanta. One cab, one airplane ride, and one thunderstorm later, I was sitting in a friend’s kitchen when I caught a whiff of the shower gel. The scent stuck to my skin all day! How refreshing!

I have to admit…I was a bit nervous when I first received the product from A.H.A. According to the company, it is 5X stronger than the average at-home treatment! Yes, it’s clinically tested, but we’ve all heard chemical peel horror stories. Visions of red, dry, and irritated skin danced in my head. Remember Samantha Jones before Carrie’s book party? The horror! I’m happy to report that the Brazilian Peel is not only easy and effective….it’s totally foolproof!

Each weekly treatment is housed in a dual-chamber syringe. One side holds the peel, a pre-measured combo of 30% glycolic acid and Acai. The other holds a special neutralizer. It automatically “shuts off” the treatment after ten minutes. (How cool is that?!) No watching the clock like a hawk. No need to worry about “over-processing” your skin. Application is a snap. Simply twist off the bottom of the syringe, dispense the ingredients into your palm, and layer on your face.

When I first coated my skin with the stuff, I noticed a brief “warming” sensation that made me feel as if I was having a pricey facial! Over the course of ten minutes, the peel dried into a sheer mask. It did tingle a bit, but never felt uncomfortable. When the peel’s time was up, I was able to rinse it off easily. I looked in the mirror and could not believe my eyes. My face looked noticeably brighter My skin felt happier. I would even say it felt “tighter”. For the rest of the day, all I needed was a swipe of lip gloss, a few coats of mascara, and I was good to go!

Not to brag, but I have a bra that’s to-die-for. I love to wear it, but hate to wash it. I know, it sounds totally “ick,” but give me a chance to explain. Throwing it in the washing machine is out of the question. The lace would just be destroyed. What if a button or zipper got caught on it? Not to mention the risk of warping the shape and the underwire, or puncturing the squishy push-up stuff. (Hey, I’m not ashamed!) I’ve hand-washed the pretty piece, but all that splishing and splashing in the sink can get messy. Plus, wringing out the water-bogged fabric is a recipe for undergarment disaster!

A floating rubber ball sits inside the shell and gently massages your bra during the cycle, helping to release any dirt and grime.

I honestly don’t know how I survived without this thing! Unlocking it after the wash was like opening a present. There was my bra: clean, practically dry from the spin cycle, and perfectly in-tact. There were no tangled straps, stretched out material, or pesky lumps and bumps. No doubt about it: When things are “all shook up” in the washing machine, Berry Ball will keep your unmentionables safe! And here’s a bonus…the cleaning set comes with a Berry Bag to place your pretty undies in!
