Jennifer Lopez Talks To Redbook
Jennifer Lopez is at a point in her career where she’s done almost everything. And she’s at a point in her personal life where she has, well, everything. Featured in the May issue of Redbook (out April 20th), Lopez talks about how her life came full-circle, and how she never expected to have what she has today.
Mom to twins Max and Emme (with husband Marc Anthony), Lopez muses on how being a mother has changed her:
I can’t help but be a different person now that I’ve had kids. That really does change your whole perspective on life for the better. I definitely feel like I’ve grown up. So, I guess in a way parts of me are going to be different, but in general I’m still the same girl from the Bronx who had big dreams.
I found this quote particularly interesting, because it shows the focus Lopez had on making her dreams come true.
I always wanted to be great at what I did—that’s what drove me. If I got rejected, I wouldn’t take it personally. I was like, Make them a fan and they’ll bring you back in for something else. I never thought about money or fame, and I never really thought that would happen to me. All that was just a by-product.

On the merit of her romantic comedies:
I think Maid in Manhattan and Monster-in-Law are very layered movies. And that’s why they’re so successful. People don’t like shitty romantic comedies. Nothing that’s sh*tty is going to make $100 million.

Jennfer Lopez's Battle With Ex Continues
Jennifer Lopez is in the process of banning her ex-husband, Ojani Noa, from cashing in on home video footage after allegedly selling wedding day clips to a Latin American TV network.
Lopez’s mother, Guadalupe, sold footage she got from her former son-in-law to the big guys over at Univision which they aired as part of a news story last Wednesday night.
The star’s attorneys got a temporary restraining order on Noa’s documentary with the claim it would feature candid clips of Lopez. Ed Meyer, Noa’s business partner, says the footage is being used as a research resource by those who’d like to turn his stories into a movie.
Since Lopez’s mother was involved, they’re hoping the film ban will be lifted in federal court on Tuesday.
Meyer tells WENN:
This shoots down the temporary restraining order. Some of the footage shown on Univision even made it onto YouTube and we had it taken down, because it’s the property of Ojani Noa. Ojani had shown the footage to members of Jennifer Lopez’s family and he let her mom take a copy. She had no right passing it on to Univision and we are now considering cross-complaining against Mrs. Lopez.
This all sounds like one big headache. Someone is looking for 15 more minutes of fame!
