How do people think of these things?! Local reports say that Paris Hilton was found at the Figari airport in Corsica with some marijuana. She was allegedly holding less than a gram and was released in 30 mins.

The heiress took it to twitter to dismiss the rumor, explaining:

Paris is under investigation by South African police after she was allegedly caught smoking marijuana at a World Cup soccer game, according to online reports.

The socialite flew into South Africa to join in the World Cup festivities on Wednesday and is already rumored to have landed in trouble, with local news agencies claiming she was taken into custody on Friday after cops spotted her puffing on a joint during the quarter final match between the Netherlands and Brazil at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

A blogger for Eyewitness News (EWN) in South Africa tweets:

EWN can officially confirm that socialite Paris Hilton has been arrested on a drug related charge and will appear in court later tonight.

Dispatch Online reports Hilton was escorted by officers from the grounds to a police station in St Croix just before 8pm local time.

Mark Magadlela, the Provincial Head of Detectives in Port Elizabeth, has confirmed Hilton’s presence at the police station but claims she has since been released.

However, he refused to reveal details about the incident, saying:

There is an inquiry. I don’t want to comment further.

No word from Hilton’s rep…yet.

After hitting the runway at the Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Brazil, writers criticized Paris Hilton by comparing her to a plastic doll.

The hereiss didn’t let the comments upset her, tweeting:

I take it as a compliment. Barbie is one of my idols.

But of course! Tall, blonde, gorgeous. I wouldn’t have taken it as a bad thing either :)

It’s only been a couple weeks since she split from Doug Reinhardt, but Paris Hilton already has some not-so-kind words for her former flame.

The heiress says:

Sources reveal that Paris was nervous her boyfriend was using her to further his own career.

Here’s how the story goes: Doug’s little sister was set to get her own reality show, with her big brother as the producer (of course). Paris was reportedly going to make cameo appearances in several episodes. Insiders say she NEVER had any plans to participate, but Reindhardt was pressuring her to do so. Without her involvement, the series is kaput.

The heiress stars in a new ad for a beer company in Brazil that some are claiming is “demeaning to women”.

A spokesperson for the women’s secretariat said:

It’s an ad that devalues women – in particular, blonde women.

In it, Paris Hilton is in a short black dress and rubbing a can of Devassa beer on herself while others watch.

According to Brazil regulations, beer commercials cannot treat women as overtly sensual objects. Other ads do feature women in bikinis, but those are shot at the beach…so they’re considered ok.

Last month, Paris wasn’t so secretive about the fact she wanted to spend the rest of her life with the former Hills star:

I wouldn’t rule out a wedding in 2010. With how amazing everything is going between us, I see a very bright and happy future. He’s taught me how real love can feel. Doug’s taught me how to grow up and become more domestic, as in not going out as much as I used to.

Nick Prugo was arrested for his involvement in the incident, but said:

He also claims to have found five grams of cocaine in Paris’ house.

A number of other celebrity homes were targeted, as well, including Lindsay Lohan’s. Prugo continued:

He is facing up to six years in prison for EACH burglary.
